Keeping a schedule of events and running on track will keep your invitees involved and entertained.

  • After determining the platform, practice using it to make sure there will be no glitches during the event.
    • Send “How To” information about the platform to the participants.
  • Designate a start and end time.
  • Designate an emcee.
  • Send virtual etiquette tips for the event to the participants.
    • Include how everyone will talk to avoid speaking over one another.
  • Ask participants to get creative with backgrounds and appropriate party wear.

Now it’s time to party on.  Come up with a theme, schedule a time and get ready for the fun!

As the world has changed, so have many entrepreneurs.  With the limitation of in-store customers, businesses have taken to going on the road with a mobile business.

Having a mobile business has many perks:

  • No costs for a retail space
  • Less staffing
  • Flexibility in hours and location

If you find that an area is not working for your type of business, you can drive off to another location.

While you may save money with a mobile business, there are startup costs to consider, the most being the expense of a truck.  But finding your niche in the mobile business can offer rewards that are worth it.

Not just for food trucks anymore.  Here are some mobile business ideas:

During a ‘shelter-in-place’ orders, it’s not only you who stays in place, but also your car.  Having your vehicle sit for any length of time can lead to some issues down the road.  We have a few simple tips to make sure your car is ready to drive when you are.

Battery

A car battery A battery will discharge over time.  Keep it charged by taking a short drive, long enough to get the oil up to temperature.  Also, you can attach a trickle charger.

Fluids

Check the engine fluids.  Keep your oil and transmission fluid levels where they should be. Checking the fluid level of oil in a vehicle.

Tires

The front tire on a car. Maintain recommended tire pressure.  This will help to prevent flat spots.

Washing

Keep your vehicle clean.  This will protect the paint, especially if it is parked outdoors. A hand with soap and a sponge washing a car.

Ways you can help during COVID-19-help your neighbors, thank you notes and delivery services.

We can each do our part in limiting the spread of COVID-19 by staying home and practicing social distancing.  We do this to protect ourselves and those around us.  With that being said, how can we show love and help our community?  Our Wendle team has come up with ideas of what we can do to continue serving Spokane:

  • Reach out to friends, neighbors and customers in need and offer to deliver necessities.
  • Local area businesses are building care packages and delivering them to those in need.
  • If you are musically inclined, contact a retirement home and offer to schedule a time to perform and serenade the residents outside of their facility.
  • Buy gift cards from local restaurants and hand them out to anyone going over and above to help out the most vulnerable in our community.
  • Use United Way’s volunteer link to find out which non-profits need extra help disinfecting/cleaning their facility.
  • Find out what necessities local non-profits are most in need of and stock up and make deliveries.
  • Hand write cards and have kids make drawings to mail to residents at local assisted living facilities.
  • Consider paying for cancelled services that you have already booked-hair salon, house cleaners, etc.
  • Donate blood.
  • Donate money, food and volunteer at local food banks.
  • Set up a phone tree to contact the elderly and check on them.
  • Write thank you notes to those helping in our communities.
  • Offer yard care services.
  • Deliver snacks to employee break rooms at retirement homes and hospitals.

Thank you, Spokane, for helping our community!

Our community is amazing and coming together as defined by the word itself: “a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.”

There is a growing need in our community due to COVID-19. Many non-profits in our area, including the Spokane County United Way, are rallying the troops to provide aid. See where you can help and where you can get assistance, by clicking on their website.

During this time, we need to keep ourselves, and others, healthy and safe.  We can assist our local medical workers and first responders by being knowledgeable and informed on how we can do this and help ‘flatten the curve.’

Our response on the COVID-19

March 12, 2020

Dear Wendle Customers,

As we continue to navigate this uncharted territory with the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I would like to share with you additional measures we have taken at Wendle to help protect our customers and employees.

We understand that many people will have mild or moderate symptoms if they contract the virus, but we are also aware that some may experience a more severe illness and the risk is much higher. Our hope is to keep everyone as healthy as possible and protect the most vulnerable with some of the additional steps we have taken and will continue to take.

In following recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), we have increased our cleaning the last few weeks with deeper, more frequent cleaning in high touched areas, such as door handles, countertops, keypads, and restroom surfaces. In addition to our nightly cleaning crew, we give a big shout-out to our hard-working team who are doing additional cleaning throughout the day. We thank you for your extraordinary efforts!

At this time, we are not aware of any associate that has contracted COVID-19 or their family members. With that said, we have asked our employees who may develop symptoms or who may have been in contact with an infected individual, to please stay home and follow the CDC’s instructions.

Our dealership remains open for business during regular hours to meet the needs of our customers. If we become aware of any concern that makes it unsafe, rest assured we will close until the situation has been addressed.

Thank you for your support and we wish you good health while our thoughts are with those who have been affected.
